Q. What level of player are you suitable for?

A. We cater for male and female members who play on either a regular or casual basis. While we don't have a set minimum skill level, we are not a development club, so if you are a complete beginner we would recommend getting at least some basic experience before joining the club.

Q. Does the club play in a league?

A. Yes, we currently play a Men's 6's team in the South West Herts Badminton League and have previously entered mens, womens and mixed teams, but most of our members prefer just to play friendly matches on club nights. We review the teams we submit to the league each year, based on how many of our members would like to play competitively.

Q. What type of shuttlecocks do you use?

A. We only use feather!

Q. If I start as a guest, can I transfer to a regular member later?

A. Absolutely! Many of our members come along as guests before becoming a regular member. Should you decide to become a regular member, we'll discount £3 from the annual fee for each session you've attended as a guest, up to a maximum of 4 sessions. This way you can try out the club for up to four sessions as a guest, but pay the same as if you'd joined as a regular member from the start!

Q. What is the Spond app?

A. Spond is a dedicated sports team management app used by millions of people worldwide. We use the app to manage attendance at our regular club nights, collect payments, organise league matches and generally keep our members up to date with what's happening at the club.
